Battle and Brew, The Atlanta Gaming Bar You Didn’t Know About!
After months of hearing about this place, I was finally able to actually step foot into their doors! Battle and Brew is a pretty unassuming spot from the outside, but once you enter you know you’re in for more than just a drink or two at the bar. This Marietta bar is lined nearly wall to wall with big screen TVs and entertainment centers. There is even a large projector and a stage for Rock Band (which I made sure to take full advantage of). Many of the patrons were engulfed in high definition adventures of zombie-shooting, car-racing, and sword-fighting proportions. One of the best parts of the spot was being able to choose which your console of choice and a variety of games for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 for a small price.
The cooks at Battle and Brew must know what gamers love to eat because their menu was full of deliciously grilled (and excessively cheesy) paninis, pizzas, and other items I’ll have to go back to enjoy. And, of course, their specialty drinks have that geeky feel (I had a Samurai Kiwi), plus many familiar and exotic draft beers.
I could go on and on about my Rock Band experience, but I’m sure you won’t want to hear about my mad guitar skills and Fall Out Boy impersonations! Instead, head to Powers Ferry Rd off of Hwy-75 and get your game on for yourself. They are always having weekly events, tournaments, and gaming specials! Maybe I’ll see you there!
